Our History
The West Chester Mothers of Twins Club was officially formed and nationally affiliated in 1988. We joined the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. (NOMOTC) in July 1988 with 16 members and we met at the Union Township Library on Cox Road. In 1993, our membership increased and jumped to 70 in 1994, the meetings were relocated to the Faith Community United Methodist Church on Cox Road.
Our steady growth necessitated yet another move to accommodate our increasing numbers and facility needs. In the spring of 2002, our current meeting location was chosen and beginning in the fall of the same year we began meeting at the West Chester Church of the Nazarene on Tylersville Road.
In 1997, the Club’s name was formally changed to the West Chester Mothers of Twins and More Club to better reflect the changing demographics of the Club; recognizing the increase in the number of higher order multiples, as well as, the fact that many Moms have other children in addition to their multiples. Things certainly have changed over the years! We now average about 200 members per year! We have grown by leaps and bounds and our numbers continue to "multiply"!
